This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Auf die Frage in der Business Class, ob es ein bisschen wärmer gemacht werden könnte, da es von unten kalt zieht, nur die lapidare Antwort, das käme wahrscheinlich von der Aussentür und die Temperatur wurde nicht höher gestellt. Also ein Flugzeug, wo es durch die Tür zieht. Na, ja, schlimmer geht's eigentlich kaum noch.

Das Boarding dauert schließlich auch unendlich lange/ Maschine war komplett ausgebucht. Besser wäre gewesen, von hinten nach vorne die Maschine zu füllen, nicht kreuz und quer durcheinander, bis jeder dann sein Gepäck verstaut hat - das kostete zusätzlich Zeit."

Negativ: "There was an issue on the bus to take us to the teminal cuz a passenger took another's passenger's backpack which looked exactly the same but they made us wait on the bus til the mix up was settled. A lot of the passengers got frustrated cuz we had connecting flights and the workers by the plane didn't care including the bus driver. We finally went but we almost missed our flight .we had to literally run to the gate to make it."

Negativ: "Der Flug ist nicht pünktlich gestartet. Informationen kamen sehr spät. Bis zum Zeitpunkt des eigentlichen Boardings war der Flugstatus pünktlich. Aus nicht ersichtlichen Gründen wurden bereits zuvor Flüge von LH und EW nach MUC annulliert. Erst gegen 21 Uhr erfolgte die Snkündigung dass 21:45 die neue Abflugszeit wäre. Gestartet ist die Maschiene dann um 22:05 Uhr. Die Kommunikation war sehr schlecht, das Bodenpersonal schloss bis zuletzt keine Annulierung aus."

Positiv: "It's not only pilot/auto-pilot or only weather dependent for sure, but ride was extremely smooth. landing was fantastic. Entertainment options were great. Crew was friendly and attentive. Sucks for LH, but I had to one sitting next to me on the 8-hour flight! no crying babies, no snoring. yiey!"

Negativ: "Maybe US is ahead, but my experience with 2 terminals at Hanover and Frankfurt was that information exchange isn't good. Gate number was available at the last hour or so, which then got changed. Not just this flight. many flocks of people were running around to find their new gate... also as I mentioned climbing several stories of stairs with carry-on isn't fun! Not on this flight, but on my initial departure from US to FRA, monitors said go to Gate B. I got in line for Gate B as there was some security check, then we were told there was another B?!@ We had to go down and take the bus for that...written.. No where!"

No individual air control either. the last meal served was a ham & cheese sandwich which tasted odd..I couldn't eat it, other meals were fine."

Negativ: "We were a little late with boarding. I prefer Lufthansa for travel, but I can think of a ton more, easy to serve, more healthy and delicious menu items. The food smells good, usually, but it isn't that great. The chicken I had was fine, but the side dish (sweet potatoes) wasn't good. The salad had too much radicchio, the soft cheese was too rubbery to cut (spilled my water doing so), the cake wasn't up to German reputation. Also, one flight attendant, got her own suitcase down, at least 5 times, stretching directly above me, with her jacket in my face and never apologizing. My seat wouldn't recline, nor could other peoples. This is why I paid to choose my seat, so I could sleep, more easily but I sat upright the whole time."

Negativ: "Filme waren ok, aber nur ein Spiel (Schach) auf einem Interkontinentalflug (CPH - SFO) ist eher mager für einen 11h-Flug. Spiele müssen ja nicht sein, aber andere Fluglinien als SAS bieten da mehr..."

Positiv: "The only thing that saved the flight was a good crew and decent food."

Negativ: "My husband uses a wheel chair and a delightful attendant wheeled him and about 20 other passengers to a very well equipped handicap area. There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

Positiv: "The gate agent at check-in was very helpful and knowledgeable. The entire ground crew did a good job. The crew was friendly and attentive. The plane was clean. The entertainment options were more than adequate. Bathrooms were well kept."

Negativ: "I know you can't expect coach to be luxurious. But the space between seats in the airline industry in general have gotten ridiculously small. Words were exchanged between my wife and the lady (nothing extreme, but still) in the seat in front of her. When the lady leaned her seat back, my wife could barely watch her movie. All in all, I would definitely fly SAS again."

Negativ: "man sitzt auf engeren Sitzen (Tablett ist in der Armlehne), aber ebenso zu dritt wie in der Eco. 1A-B-C haben viel kleineren Fußraum als 1D-E-F Stewardess wollte kein Handgepäck erlauben, da die Kanine bereits zu voll war. Ich schuld vor, sie solle erst einmal das Gepäck der Mitarbeiter aus der Kabine nehmen, dann reicht es auch für die Paxe ...."

Negativ: "Booked SAS Go level which included 1 piece of luggage each. At check-in, we were told that is not the case despite SAS' own website saying that it is. I was charged another $320 and I am disgusted with their business practices which revolve around, deceit, lies andl I would even say fraud! There were many others complaining about the SAS Go luggage issue and then having to pay again. I could have gone with Ryan Air for a fraction of the cost."

Negativ: "Das Essen war sehr schlecht. Das Umsteigen in Dublin ist furchtbar. Der Flughafen ist unübersichtlich aufgebaut. Das Abfluggate des Anschlussfluges wurde ca. 3 Stunden vor Abflug bekanntgegeben. Aber aufgrund einer verschlosssen Glastür konnte man erst 25 Minuten (!!!) vor Abflug dort hin gehen. Es kam zu einem großen Stau vor der Tür und der Abflug verspätete sich entsprechend."

Negativ: "Before we boarded this plane we arrived at Aer Lingus for a 2 hour layover. The airport only had a snack bar open and an express bar with only drinks. There was cafes upstairs but that was closed off to hundreds of people with a layover between flights. When asked they said it was closed off by escalater and elevator to all of us. They blocked the escalator with a giant gate sign. People waited in line at a snack for over 20 mins for a bite to eat that was express food or a choice of 5 sandwiches that came hot that actually sucked not worth the money at all. People were pissed! I was looking forward to a nice meal for my layover but that definitely did not happen! They only came around once with drinks on a 6 hour flight, then twice for coffe and tea. When I asked for a sprite they said they ran out of things completely"

After runing like chickens with no head a polite customer representative put us through and informed us that our fly was delayed becouse the plane had mechanical issues, so after all that we had to wait 1 hr at the airport and another 1 hr or so to make sure the plane was ready to leave , after that we made it to New York instead of 7 pm we arrived 10 pm , very tired"

Those who had wished to avail of it had probably done so long before. It was quite annoying and intrusive."

Negativ: "Aer Lingus imposes a maximum limit of 10 kg on carry on bags. For checked bags, there is a minimum charge of 35 euros which seems very high for a suitcase of 15 kg or less. The charge increases by 5 euros for each additional five kilos. We had to pay an additional 70 euros over our air fares. In order not to have to pay any more, we spent a good amount of time shifting items from one suitcase to another to avoid exceeding any of these weight limitations. One more hassle which takes away from the pleasure of traveling!"

Positiv: "The opening of a rear exit door. Using the stairs and then walking across the tarmac to get to the terminal is much better than wasting a lot of time waiting to use the jetway."

Negativ: "For an 8-hour flight, it would have been nice to have more of a foot rest; something that would raise my legs more. However, the seats were comfortable."

Negativ: "The boarding in Rejkjavic was horrible, We waited for 2 hours lined up in a hallway…"

Positiv: "The airplane waited for us because our first flight had a delay. The airplane was clean and in good condition. The flight was very smooth."

The flight attendants were courteous and helpful, but could have come through one more time to refresh water and see if other food or snacks were needed. The announcements did not come through the headphones and were difficult to hear."

Positiv: "Once we were on board, everything was fine! And Island water is indeed very good."

Negativ: "Boarding in Hamburg was s nightmare! The woman at the counter was not German born. She was aggressive and downright hostile. Had she worn a name tag, I would report her at once. But I was afraid if I asked for her name, she wouldn’t have let us on the plane!! And they lost our luggage"

Positiv: "I’m usually easy to please but there wasn’t much to say that’s positive. Maybe the staff was helpful?"

Negativ: "Air was out in coach so everyone was sweating in a sauna, while first class was cold and didn’t want the air any higher, major problem, needed to sleep but could get 15 min in. Worst flight I’ve ever been on, never been that uncomfortable in the air before"

Negativ: "Three hour delay in Reykjavik was needed and appropriate because of harsh/blustery winds. The passengers appreciated the absolute attention to safety in the long delay."

Sitze sind in etwa so gemütlich wie bei Kurzstrecken Billigfliegern - also gar nicht. Das Personal hat durchgehend auf allen 4 Flügen meiner Reise mit Iceland Air auf isländisch vor sich hin getratscht, während dem Flug und auch am Ende zur Verabschiedung, zusätzlich waren die Englischkenntnisse des Bordpersonals meist eher rudimentär. Werbung für einen Stopover in Island bekommt man überall, vor allem innerhalb des Entertainment Programms welches sich nicht einschalten lässt ohne das man einen 5,5 minütigen Werbefilm anschauen muss. teils zieht sich das weiter wenn man einen Film ansehen will. Icelandair hatte uns einen Flug mit 30 Min Umsteigezeit gescheduled - was mich sehr nervös gemacht hat als wir dann Verspätung am Rollfeld hatten und dann noch Bus fahren mussten. Der Anschlussflieger hatte sein Boarding bis kurz vor Abflug geöffnet und wir haben es dann easy geschafft. Man muss auch erwähnen, dass es in Reykjavik mangels Sitzmöglichkeiten einfach ewig lange Schlangen gibt in die man sich einreihen muss. Wenn man auf den günstigen Preis verzichten kann: nie wieder Iceland Air!"

Negativ: "I did not like the boarding procedure. it was pretty disorganized. there wasn't a priority lane and it was a little disorganized. also the options for movies weren't good."

Negativ: "The booked flight from Hamburg via Iceland on June 1. was canceled, information given to us in Hamburg were non existent. To rebook a flight for the next day took over two hours by phone via an Iceland Air number in Frankfurt!"

Positiv: "Inexpensive ticket. Boarded and left right on time. Small, crappy plane (757=200). It was so old, there were still ashtrays in the back of the cabin!"

Negativ: "The D gate area for check-in is a zoo, and we saw more than one couple looking for the correct gate. We were charged a bag fee of $77. IF one goes on line 36 hours before you can get if for $55. We were unaware that the bag wasn't included (our bad, of course), but when we pointed out that on Iceland Air check in there was NO place that asked for bags?? They said it was our fault for not "reading the fine print". We can only check in 24 hours in advance, so WHO would think to "manage trip"...36 hours in advance?? Especially in rural Iceland which is where we were 36 hours ahead of time. We would have gladly paid the discounted rate for the bag, but no on was willing to help us with that, so we got soaked for $77 and were told to take our concerns to Iceland air customer service."

Negativ: "I was not given the option to select checked baggage when I checked in online. I was then charged 176 Euros to check my bags. Then my luggage was lost. I still don’t have it. Flight was late. Iceland airport needs to enlarge their airport with more ramps, or schedule their flights in a way that they can handle the crowds better. Having to ride busses to and from the plane to terminal multiple times is exhausting."

Positiv: "Vom Ablauf hat alles super geklappt. Es wurde sogar nach Sitzreihen geboarded."

Negativ: "Keine Snacks"

Positiv: "Die Besatzung war nett, alles pünktlich und der Ablauf angenehm."

Negativ: "Es gab auf den 6 Stunden zwischen Reykjavik und Chicago keine Verpflegung, Getränke wurden nur 2x ausgeschenkt und das Sandwich, das ich bekommen habe, war bereits 3 Tage laut MHD abgelaufen."

Negativ: "Es wurden 95$ für ein aufzugebendes Gepäck am Flughafen berechnet, was nicht vorher angekündigt wurde. Außerdem wird Essen nur gegen Zahlung ausgegeben. Bei einer 10-stündigen Reise eine Zumutung. Getränke Auswahl war mangelhaft, vom angebotenen Sortiment waren einige Getränke nicht verfügbar. Mir wurde im vollen Flugzeug ein Sitz in der letzten Reihe gegeben, dessen Rucklehne nicht verstellbar war. Zusammengenommen war es die schlechteste Erfahrung eines Fluges in den letzten Jahren. Ich werde definitiv nicht mehr mit Icelandair fliegen."

Negativ: "Das Flugzeug von Reijkjavik nach Seattle war nicht fuer einen Langstreckenflug geeignet. Nur 2 Reihen mit jeweils Sitzen sind einfach zu eng fuer solch einen langen Flug. Keine gute Erfahrung!"

Positiv: "Entertainment selection made the 6 hour flight go by quickly."

Negativ: "Seats where uncomfortable with poor leg room and the arm rests would not lift up so that my daughter could not easily stretch out her legs into the open middle seat between us"

The only thing handed out on the 5 1/2 hour flight was a bottle of water at the start. There wasn't even a choice of beverages. I would very much have appreciated knowing that beforehand, so that I could pick something up at the airport to tide me over. Needless to say, there was only water offered on the flight from Reykjavik to Hamburg. I cannot overemphasize-- Icelandair should at least clearly inform passengers in advance of their overseas flights that there will be no food service."

Negativ: "The boarding process was hectic and unorganized. Nobody got extra time if they needed it. From the gate we took a bus to the plane but just as we pulled up the crew was getting in. We sat on the bus for 30 minutes and nobody communicated what was going on. The flight was very choppy and a bit scary at times. There were no snacks. I was not impressed at all."

Positiv: "Oslo airport was great., spacious, good food and shopping, clean, well signed, plenty of places to charge electronics"

Negativ: "No aircon, small seats and no snacks/food served on the flight. Also the entertainment offers were meager for moderately expensive tickets. The fun began in REK. We arrived on time but something at the gate was broken so instead of bringing stairs to the plane they kept us on the plane for an additional 45 min sitting at the gate. During the wait we asked the flight attendants multiple times to make sure our planes would be waiting and were told that Iceland air planes will wait. When we finally got off with stairs, most connecting flights, even from Iceland air, had already left and passengers were stuck in REK. We were then re-routed through Copenhagen after pressuring the gate attendants into making sure we would be arriving in Frankfurt the same day since we could not spend a day in REK as other passengers had to do. We spent an entire day in airports and planes finally making Frankfurt (including time changes) at 830pm, 9 hours later than planned. All in all I won't fly Iceland air again."
